RUPERT – Shannon Ranae Jones, 49, of Rupert, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2016.

Shannon was born Sept. 5, 1966, in Oakland, Calif., to Gary L. and Maxine Hovey Jones, who lived in Fremont, Calif. at the time. They moved to Idaho when she was about two weeks old. She was raised in the Burley area and attended school in Declo, Burley, and later graduated from Minico High School.

She worked at Boise Cascade for many years before she moved to Anchorage, Alaska, to be with her mom. She lived there for ten years before returning to Idaho.

Shannon loved camping, fishing and collecting treasures.

She is survived by her father, Gary L. Jones; her second mother, Roberta Jones; two sisters, Sheila (Glenn) Lewis and Jamie Lynn Parton; three brothers, Gary Junior (Danelle) Jones, Craig (Jackie) Gill, and Shane (Cindy) Gill; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends, adopted grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Crybaby.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Combs; Grandma Mabel; Grandma Brower; her uncles, Landus, Ronald, and Lonnie Hovey; her aunt, Iona Miller; her niece, Sissy Lewis; and her nephew, Skylar Gill.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
