BURLEY – J Kurt Eatough, 74, of Burley, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at his home.

Kurt was born Dec. 29, 1941, in Payson, Utah, to Mark and LaNila Eatough. He moved to Salt Lake City, Utah with his family when he was five years old. His education was received at Highland High School, the University of Colorado, the University of Utah; and he received his master of Animal Science at Utah State University. While he was in school, he worked multiple odd jobs in construction to pay his way. After college, he raised pigs and was a salesman for Steve Regan Co.

On Sept. 8, 1966, he married Connie, and together they raised four daughters, Jennifer Souza (Mic), Andrea Eatough (Johnny Wenino), Michelle Eatough (Jeff Newsome), and Alison Eatough.

He was active in 4-H, both with his daughters and his grandchildren, Taylor Beem (Jacob), and Jake Souza. He also enjoyed golfing.

His wife and family never knew a more decent, hard-working man; he was the very best husband, father and grandfather a family could want. We love him and will miss him deeply.

Kurt is survived by his wife, Connie; brother, Mark Eatough; four daughters; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Kurt was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Johnston; and grandson, Logan Souza.

At Kurt’s request, no formal services will be planned. A celebration of Kurt’s life will be held at the family home located at 582 E. 400 S., of Burley, from 2 until 5 p.m. Mon., May 30.

The family expresses heartfelt thanks to Cassia Home Health & Hospice for their kindness and care, especially Stephanie, Ilene, Kathy, Kay, Carrie, Stacie, Mindy, and volunteer, Lorraine, who are all so good at their job.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
