HEYBURN – Connie Braegger Paoli, age 67, of Heyburn, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at her home in Heyburn.
She was born January 23, 1949, to Josiah Richardson Braegger and Mary Fisher in Rigby, Idaho, the youngest and only girl in the family. She grew up in Rupert and attended grade school at Pershing school in Rupert and graduated from Minico High School. During her sophomore year her parents were called to serve a two-year work mission in Australia and she accompanied her parents to the area. She was not happy over there, so her parents sent her back to Rupert, where she completed her high school years. After graduation, she attended beauty school in Pocatello and worked in a local salon in Rupert for about five years. It was during this time that she started dating Rick Paoli, whom she later married on March 8, 1969; and to this union were born three children, Richard Kim, Trevor Von and Desirae Shirlene Paoli. They were later divorced.
Over the years, Connie went to work at several business establishments in the local area, including, the Thriftway Drug, House of Video, Bonanza 88, Western Auto, K-Mart, and her most recent job for 20 years prior to her retirement, Stokes grocery store.
Connie was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to both her children and grandchildren whom she helped raise. She was an easy-going person and was kind to all those she met. Connie loved to read and she always had a book handy. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was a member of the LDS church.
She is survived by her children, Richard Kim Paoli, Trevor Von Paoli, and Desirae Shirlene Lester; her three grandchildren, Braxton, Keana, and Hallee Lester, all of Heyburn, and Skyler Paoli of Twin Falls; former husband, Rick Paoli, and his wife, Penny of Rupert; two brothers, David Braegger of Utah, and Keith Braegger of Paul; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Paoli of Rupert; brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Gayle Williams of Burley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, in the Rupert Cemetery, 450 N. Meridian, in Rupert.
Services have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley, and in lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial donations in Connie’s name be made to the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St. Burley, Idaho 83318.
