PAUL - Ethel Lucille Hines (Doddroe), age 70, of Paul, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at her home.

She was born October 17, 1945, in Schulyer, Nebraska, the daughter of Ivan and Fern Haun Christenson. When she was still young, the family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she attended school.

Lucy had a kind heart and donated some of her time and resources towards making afghans and patch quilts to hospice patients. She was skilled in many ways and enjoyed arts & crafts and yard & garden work.

Her loving and giving spirit will be missed by those who knew her and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin C. Doddroe; son, Robert (Shirene) Krull of Wasilla, Alaska; and daughter, Sheri Thomas Vigne of Menteca, Calif.

At Lucy’s request, no formal services will be held.
