BURLEY – Elizabeth Pollock Tipton, age 62, of Burley, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at Cassia Regional Hospital.

Elizabeth was born Oct. 2, 1953, in Darmstadt, Germany. She attended school at Seaside High School in Monterey, Calif. After high school she went on a blind date and met the love of her life, Roger Dean “Tip” Tipton; they were married Dec. 4, 1976, in Monterey, Calif.

Tip’s job would take them various places including, Billings, Mont., Phoenix, Ariz., Bismarck, ND, and finally Burley. While relocating for Tip’s work assignments, Elizabeth enjoyed many different careers; waitressing, restaurant manager, cook in fast food (KFC), daycare, J. R. Simplots, Purely Supreme, and McCain Foods USA.

She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, kayaking, camping, and football. Her favorite holiday was Halloween. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Tip; her mother, Gerda Wright of Seaside, Calif.; three children, Corey (Melissa) Tipton of Burley, Dustin (Christina) Tipton of Twin Falls, and Megan (Cody) Tipton, of Burley; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Debbie (Scott) Dewitt of Castroville, Calif., and Kitty Pollock, of Santa Rosa, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Pollock.

At Elizabeth’s request, no formal service will be held.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
