BURLEY – Ronald Woodall Higley, age 80, of Burley, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at his home.

He was born May 28, 1932, in Rupert, Idaho, the son of Ronald Neil and Maggie Woodall Higley. He received his education in Burley and graduated from Burley High School. He married Elaine Morton in Reno, Nevada and they enjoyed 47 years together. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Ronald had lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and Burley. He was a jack of all trades. Ronald enjoyed fishing and camping but his passion was flea markets and fairs.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elaine of Burley; his two children, Michelle (Scott) Hendrick of Heyburn, and Michael (Christy) Higley also of Heyburn; six step-children; 38 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and one brother, Glen Higley of Idaho Falls.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Del Ray Barnes, and Ricky Higley Lamb; two brothers, Neil Higley, and Carl Higley; one sister, Arlene Phillips; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the care that was given to Ronald from the nurses and staff at Minidoka Memorial Hospital, Minidoka Home Health and Hospice and Dr. Saunero and her staff.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
