Linda Poulton West

PAUL – Linda Poulton West, age 65, of Paul, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1947, in Oakley, Idaho, to Samuel and Betty Mitton Poulton. She graduated from Castleford High School in 1965. In November of 1979, she married the love of her life Robert “Bob” West, at her parents’ home in Paul.

Linda enjoyed fishing, camping, and collecting eagle and rooster figurines, but what she loved the most was being around her family – especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bob of Paul; her children, Sam (Lyn) Burgess of Belle Chasse, La., Travis (Terri) Burgess of Boise, Tina (Scott) West Welch of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jeff West of Paul, Jenny West of Texas, Jason (Lisa) West of Heyburn, and Jessica (Luke) Wolf of Rupert; her mother, Betty Poulton of Paul; three sisters, Diane (Terry) Peterson of Beaver Falls, Pa., and Gloria (Brent) Robinson and Charlotte (Harley) Cox both of Paul; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Willie Poulton.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Monday at the Rasmussen Funeral Home.
