ALBION – Mac B. Mills, age 80, of Albion, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Countryside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Rupert, after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born on Jan. 15, 1933, in Mauldin, Yell County, Arkansas, the youngest child born to Leslie B. and Nina McBee Mills. Mac was raised in Whittier, California, where he received his education. He, along with his parents, moved to the Blackfoot, Idaho area where they were engaged in the dairy business. He later married Susan Evans and helped raise her five children.

Education was very important to Mac. He received a Master’s degree in education and continued teaching and coaching in the states of Oregon and Washington prior to returning to Idaho to care for his parents. He married Sharon Hardy in 1999, having eloped in Elko, Nevada – once in a blue moon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and seeing where the road went.

Mac was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Bobby; and he is survived by his sister, Betty (Gary) Ozunas; his first wife, Pat and her husband, Lee; his children, Lori Adams, Mark (Kelly) Mills, Dana (Meb) Bowler, and Nancy (Kirk) Lindholm; his second wife, Susan Moore and her children, Nikki Fogg, Samantha Nielson, Angie Fogg, Mindy (Roy) Nelson, and Isaac Fogg; his present wife, Sharon Hardy-Mills and her children, Tiffany (Brett) Anderson, Command Master Chief Loren (Amber) Rucker, Heather (Reuben) Winder, and Crystal (Mel) Tracy; 40 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
