BOISE – Jill Kruse Shepard, 53, of Boise, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 15, 2013, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

Jill was born in Firth, Idaho, to Ralph and Wyonna Kruse on May 22, 1959. She attended Burley High School and graduated in 1977. She attended Brigham Young University as well as Boise State University. She had worked for the Idaho Lottery for the past ten years. She was a talented pianist and enjoyed graphic design, art, and bowling. She loved to make new friends and was a true giver. She had a unique sense of humor and a bright personality. Her presence will be missed greatly.

Jill was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Kruse, her mother, Wyonna Kruse, and an aunt, Nida Jensen

She is survived by her husband, Michael Shepard of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Karli (David) Ricard of Herriman, Utah, and Cambry Severe of Portland, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Kodie Shepard of Boise; one brother, Kim (Jenny) Kruse of Boise, Idaho; three grandchildren, Felicia, Raegan, and Aubrielle Ricard of Herriman, Utah; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mel and Jack Prisbey of Idaho City, Idaho; and many other loving friends and family members.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where friends and family may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
