BURLEY – Joyce Morrison Nay, age 74, of Burley, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center.

Joyce was born on March 30, 1939, in Heyburn, Idaho, the daughter of George William and Lucy Emma (Pratt) Morrison. She started her schooling in Heyburn and graduated from high school in 29 Palms, California. On June 20, 1956, she married Roy Nay Jr. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles California LDS Temple. Together, they raised three children.

Joyce enjoyed camping, fishing, music and bowling. She was an active member of the LDS Church and especially loved listening to church music. Even though she battled lifelong illnesses, she always kept a positive attitude. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. As her children, we will be forever grateful for her unconditional love and for all that she taught us.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Laurel) Nay of Heyburn, Idaho, Richard (Susan) Nay of Burley, Idaho, and Deborah Mays of Lewiston, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Dorothy Newby of Vancouver, Wash., L.William “Bill” (Norma) Morrison of Twin Falls, Idaho, Larry (Barbara) Morrison of Bountiful, Utah, Gene (Laverne) Morrison of Pocatello, Idaho, Norman (Victoria) Morrison of Reedsport, Oregon, and Linda (Dan) Hull of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronald Morrison; and two children, Steven Douglas Nay and Lucy Bessie Nay.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Paul Cemetery, 575 W. 100 N., of Paul, with Bishop Brett Thomas officiating.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, and from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
