GOLDFIELD, NV – Troy B. Higley, age 48, of Goldfield, Nevada, and formerly of Burley, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home in Goldfield.

Troy was born on September 6, 1965, in Battle Mountain, Nevada to Garry and Karen Steube Higley. He received his education in Burley, graduating from Burley High School in Jan. of 1983 and recently received an associates of liberal arts from the College of Southern Idaho.

Troy moved with various jobs finding himself in Georgia, Kuna, Boise, Twin Falls, and most recently moving to Goldfield, NV. He loved camping , fishing, and spending time with his family. Troy was a talker and could make a friend with just about anyone.

Troy is survived by his mother and step father, Karen Steube Higley (John Kestle); one brother Terry (michelle) Higley; one nephew Michael (Adrienne) Higley; one niece Teagan Higley; and one great-nephew Josiah Higley; two step brothers, Shylo Kestle and Colton Kestle; and many aunts; uncles; and cousins, who will greatly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Blaine and Lavada Higley; and Elwin and Jean Steube; and one niece Ashli Higley.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
