HEYBURN – John “Paul” Hamilton, age 59, of Heyburn, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, in Twin Falls.
John “Paul” Hamilton was born Dec. 28, 1956, in Burley, Idaho, to Gene and Rayola Robinson Hamilton. Paul attended schools at Heyburn Elementary, West Minico, and Minico High school. In 1987, he married Donna Lynn Webb and from this marriage two children were born, Cassey and John. Paul and Donna later divorced.
Paul was a man of many talents, his most recent passion was woodworking, taking old run-down furniture and bringing it back to life. Paul spent countless hours in the garage working on different projects. He also was a friend to many and was always willing to lend a helping hand when it was needed, he definitely wasn’t scared of getting his hands dirty and doing hard laborious work. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. He also loved logging trees for fire wood, selling and supplying many residents in this area with wood.
Paul is survived by two children, one daughter, Cassey (Brad) Stoker; one son, John Hamilton; one granddaughter, Paisley Stoker; three brothers, Terry, Mark, and Rodney (Kim) Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Joanne (Steve) Pearson; and his mother, Rayola Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Hamilton; and one brother, Douglas Hamilton.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Heyburn Ward LDS Church, 300 S. 500 W., of Heyburn, with Bishop Clayton King officiating. Urn placement will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
