BURLEY – Cindy Lee Salts, 55 of Burley, Idaho, passed away Tuesday morning, September 13, 2016 at her home in Burley.

Cindy was born March 20, 1961, in Jerome, Idaho, the daughter of Glenn and Irene Kaster. She was raised on her parents’ farm in the Eden/Hazelton area and was attending Valley High School when she met Steven Salts. Cindy was married to Steve from 1976 to 1992, and to this union two children were born; Irene (Dawn) and William (Billy).

Cindy held multiple jobs throughout her life including working on the family farm, operations in the plant at J.R. Simplot, driving truck during spud harvest, waitressing at The Pine Club in Hazelton and the maintenance manager for Banner Rentals. She was always willing to help whenever needed.

Cindy loved animals and enjoyed working outside in her yard and garden. Her pets were always animals that she found and saved. Her home was never without beautiful flowers and plants. Cindy always had a smile on her face and a positive outlook on life. She treated everyone with kindness and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Cindy is survived by her two children, Irene (Dawn) Spears of Cashmere, Washington and Billy Salts of Jerome, Idaho; along with their spouses and children; and also her sister, Tammy Ross of Juneau, Alaska; and her beloved aunt and uncle, Max and Darlene Banner of Burley, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Milo Kaster.

A private family celebration of life service for Cindy will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
