HEYBURN – Nancy Weech, 64, of Heyburn, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Cassia Regional Hospital.

Nancy was born March 5, 1952, in Kingman, Arizona, to Earl and Wilma Fern Castillo West. She graduated from Burley High School and took college courses at Lewis-Clark State College.

Throughout her life, Nancy lived in Burley, Coeur d’Alene, American Falls, Pocatello and Heyburn. She held various positions of employment in the community that included bookkeeper for Mountain Grain, Kerbs Oil and Barclay Mechanical, and she retired as a case manager for Idaho Health and Welfare.

In her youth, Nancy was an accomplished horsewoman, and she also liked golf, bowling, baseball and softball, antiquing and crocheting. She made many special happy memories and she was a beloved mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Nana.”

She is survived by her daughter, April Dawn Weech of Pocatello; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her companion, Randy Thueson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol Ann Abrams; her brother, John West; and most recently, her daughter, Lila Kay Deuel.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 7, and from 1 until 1:45 p.m. preceding the funeral service.
