BURLEY – June Paskett Rasmussen, 89, of Burley, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at her home.

She was born May 4, 1927, at Starrh’s Ferry; the fifth daughter, tenth child, of Della Hazen and Ira Hugh Day. The family moved to Burley in 1935. She attended every elementary school in Burley - Southwest, Miller, and Overland. She graduated from the old Burley High School in 1945. WWII was still ongoing at the time of her marriage to Ensign B. Hutchinson on October 19, 1944. They were the parents of five children. They were later divorced. On Sept. 9, 1966, she married F.C. ‘Curt’ Paskett in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. After Curt’s passing, she married Robert Rasmussen on Nov. 23, 1999. Robert passed away on July 25, 2012.

She was active in community affairs, serving on city and general elections, PTA, charity drives, music club, and Cub Scouts. She was active in her church, serving as Junior Sunday School Coordinator, Primary President, Sunday School Teacher, Relief Society President, and Relief Society Chorister. She sang at many, many funerals and programs. She loved dancing and riding her horse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and four sisters.

She is survived by her five children, Bruce (Dorene) Hutchinson, Gordon (Carol) Hutchinson, Ted (Shelley) Hutchinson - all of Boise; daughter, Gale Hutchinson of Burley; and son, Kelly (Cindy) Hutchinson of Alpine, Utah; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 13, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where friends may call from 10 until 10:45 a.m. preceding the service. Officiating will be Bishop Ty Jones. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
