Eric “Rob” Robin Haag
BURLEY – Eric “Rob” Robin Haag, age 68, of Burley, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at his home.
Rob was born Feb. 23, 1949, to Eric Max and Donna Myrtle Ainsworth Haag. Rob received his education, graduating from Burley High School, and later received an associate’s degree from College of Southern Idaho. He first married Ellen Poulton, together they had two children, Eric and Dawn, they later divorced. Rob married his best friend, Teresa Ann Clegg, on March 9, 2001, in Burley, Idaho.
Rob joined the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 18, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He retired at the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. His passion to serve continued; he was a member of the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization, selflessly donating his time and talent to our community by helping families pay tribute to our local veterans.
He was also a member of the LDS church, the Elks Lodge and the American Legion.
Rob enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all, spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Rob is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Ann Haag; his children, Eric James Haag of Roosevelt, Utah, and Dawn Ellen Haag of Huntington Beach, CA; stepchildren, Donald Beecher of Heyburn, Joshua Felthauser of Rupert, and Alexander Felthauser of Burley; as well as 17 grandchildren; one brother, Rod (Carla) Haag of Heyburn; brother-in-law, Dave Miller of Heyburn; sister-in-law, Kathy Haag of Rupert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nannette (Dave) Miller; one brother, Kevin (Kathy) Haag; and one granddaughter, Ashleigh Haag.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the Star LDS Church, 100 S. 200 W., of Burley, with Bishop Rob Oakes officiating. Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery with military rites provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
