BURLEY – Rodney Dean Carter, age 62, of Burley, died Saturday, April 29, 2017, at his home.

He was born July 17, 1954, in Bakersfield, Calif., the son of Farris and Dixie Lawrence Carter. He attended school in Kern and Los Angeles Counties and completed he education at El Camino College in Gardena, Calif. He worked as a professional machinist in the tooling industry. During his younger years he enjoyed sports and surfing. Later, he liked to play golf, pool, and especially loved hunting and fishing.

Rodney is survived by his daughter, Kristina Lynn Green of Burley; a grandson, Jayze Green; his parents, Farris and Dixie Carter of Burley; one brother, Chuck Carter of Burley; and his sister, Tina Cook of Burley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 5, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, with Pastor Travis Turner officiating.
