Date of Service: Jun. 24, 2017
Kini Kay (Burt) Klink, 66, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017, at Cassia Regional Hospital in Burley.
She was born September 15, 1950 to Gordon Francis and Wanda Claire Harris Burt in Idaho Falls, Idaho. While her schooling took place in many areas of the country, she graduated from Idaho Falls’ Bonneville High School in 1968 and from the College of Idaho, in the spring of 1973 with a degree in English-secondary school emphasis.
Kini married David Klink on June 14, 1975. She gave birth to two wonderful children: Autumn Rebecca in 1978 and Benjamin David in 1983. Kini was a supportive wife and mother, a dedicated grandmother, a loving, helpful and understanding daughter, a most amazingly-wonderful sister, a concerned and compassionate friend, and an advocate for those in need. She was generous with her time, money, and her loving spirit. She was witty, artistic, a great cook, and pretty handy at understanding and fixing things - with the exception of her Iphone and computer. Kini loved animals and always had a pet or two. When tragedy struck at various times in her life, she was brave, helping alongside those who were suffering with her.
She is survived by David, her husband of 42 years, Burley, Idaho; her son, Ben (Stacy Billings), Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Madeline and Henry Sutton, Billings, Mont.; sister, Tara Burt, Boise, Idaho; brothers, Matt Burt (John Cash), Stockton, Calif., and Mark (Crystal) Burt; also her nephews, Andy and Sam, Escondido, Calif.; stepmother/friend, Shirley Burt, Idaho Falls, Idaho; stepbrothers, Chris (Audra) Lenda and Kaleb, Rigby, Idaho; stepsister, Jenny (Jake) Ricks, Jacksonville, NC; sisters-in-law, Gayle Martens and Marilee Kniep; and brother-in-law, John Klink.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Autumn Rebecca Klink Sutton; both her parents; her dearly-loved grandmother, Lilly Gaumer; her niece, Angel Burt; special friends, Tom Trusky and Don Royster; and her beloved cat, Mr. Pants.
Kini was a member of Chapter J PEO, the Burley Presbyterian Church, the BARF club, and Tuesday afternoon coffee club with Kathleen, Maria, Nicole and Joyce.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
Urn placement will be at Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise at a later date.
