Frank Self

BURLEY – Frank D. Self, 62, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013.

Frank was born on May 16, 1951, in San Diego, Calif., to Alvie Dessa (A.D.) Self and Janie Ella Moore Self. Frank was an avid camper, hunter, and outdoors enthusiast. You could almost always find him in the mountains roaming freely on his 4-wheeler and side-by-side with his faithful companion, his blue heeler, Zip. Frank was a family man through and through who loved the get togethers and camping trips, always the first up and the last in bed in the mountains. He loved his family and friends so much and he always had a story to share or an ear to listen.

Frank leaves behind three daughters, Mikelle Self, Crystal Self and in December of 2006, he adopted Brittany Self. He also leaves behind his mother, Janie Self of Heyburn; brother, Tom (Marlene) Self of Heyburn; sister, Gayle Christensen of Burley; sister, Donna Jones of Burley; brother, Marc (Elaine) Self of Montana; sister, Carol Ann Self Rogers of Rupert; cousins; nieces; nephews; uncles; aunts; and close friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, A.D. Self; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones. He is greatly loved and missed.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Mountain View Christian Center, 317 W. 27th St., in Burley, with Pastor Jim Powell officiating.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
