BURLEY – Virgil Wayne Decker, 69, of Burley, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017.

Wayne was born July 20, 1948, in Burley, Idaho, to George Raymond Decker and Mabel (Wodskow) Decker Hopkins. Wayne joined the Navy in 1967, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a kind-hearted person with many friends; always willing to help others less fortunate. He took care of his elderly mother for many years. Wayne was known for his perpetual smile and finding humor in whatever life threw at him. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Delmar; and sister, Rita. He is survived by sisters, Sharon Hayes and Barbara (Mike) Kauffman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wayne’s former residence, west of Burley, on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at 6:00 PM.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
