DECLO – Don Ralph Jacobs, age 92, of Declo, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at the Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center in Burley.

Don was born on May 11, 1921, in Declo, Idaho, the son of Rex H. and Clare McHale Jacobs. After completing his education, he married Nona Marchant on Dec. 16, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He then made a lifelong career of farming.

He is survived by his daughters, Lella Jo (Dr. Eugene) Holm, Nona Lee (Roger) Biale, Gwen (Clifford) Crossley, Wendy (Maury) Staker, and Rexanne Parke; one brother, Hyde Jacobs; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nona; and siblings, Ray, Ruth, Glen, John Bernard and Alan.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at the Declo LDS Stake Center, 213 W. Main St., in Declo, where friends and family may call from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Officiating will be Bishop Greg Osterhout. Military rites will be provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization. Burial will be in the Declo Cemetery.
