Enetta Jensen Call
BURLEY – Enetta Jensen Call, age 78, of Burley, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Emeritus - Cliff View Assisted Living Center in St. George, Utah.
Enetta was born on Feb. 3, 1936, in Farmington, Utah, the daughter of Wallace Henry and Oneita LaVern Southworth Jensen. She attended schools in Famington, Layton, and Davis County, Utah, and graduated from Davis High School in 1954. She married Melvin Reuben Call on Oct. 15, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Bountiful, Utah, until 1959, when they moved to Burley, Idaho. She lived in the Pella area near Burley until she was admitted to Cliff View in January of this year.
Enetta and Melvin raised their family of six children on an 80-acre farm. Their children, Lenee, Leland, LaRene, Karen, Susan, and Todd, were taught the important lessons of life on the farm and the immeasurable lessons of loving your neighbor as yourself in the home.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings with all her mind, might, and strength. Enetta and Melvin served two missions together. In 2002, they were called to the New York Rochester Mission as F M missionaries and served in Palmyra, New York. In 2004, they were called to the Nebraska Omaha Mission and served again as F M missionaries at Winter Quarters.
She was a faithful mother who loved her family. She served them by cooking the most delicious meals from their garden and farm. She served them by washing their muddy clothes after they had helped with the irrigation on the farm. However, she served them best by how she lived and how she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s parents, Reuben Anson and Luella Ford Call; her brother, Wallace Jensen Jr.; sisters-in-law, Beverly Call Hill and Charlotte Call Parkin; her daughter, Lenee; and a grandson, Shane Call.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Melvin R. Call of Burley; her sons, Leland (Judy) Call of Park City, Utah, and Todd Call (Debbie) of Boise; her daughters, LaRene (Steven) Woolstenhulme of St. George, Utah, Karen Call of Greeley, Colo., and Susan Tyacke of Federal Way, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Herbert C. (Donna) Jensen of Farmington, Utah.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Pella LDS Church, 160 W. 400 S., of Burley, with Bishop Lyle D. Sager officiating. Burial will be in the Pella Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
