After graduation, he joined the United States Army and served in Greenland. He then attended Idaho State University. Gary got his foot in the door of the banking industry in Boise, Idaho. During his career he earned a degree at Northwestern Agriculture Credit School and from the American Institute of Banking. Gary continued his banking career until he retired from Key Bank in 1997.
Gary loved going hunting, fishing, and camping. He was the happiest and most comfortable riding his horse “Banner” with his dog by his side.
Gary and his wife, Boots, spent many happy winters living in Yuma, Ariz. He enjoyed the motor home trips they took and loved visiting with all their friends and family. Gary was a big tease and new no stranger. His contagious smile will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
