BURLEY – Dorothy Norton, age 80, of Burley, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley.

Dorothy was born in Del Norte, Colo., to Claude Joseph and Phyllis Ann Chavez Espinosa. She later moved with her family to Burley. She attended and graduated from Burley High School. She met and married Marion N Norton, a lifelong resident of Burley, on Dec. 3, 1956, in Burley. They had two children, Boyd Norton and Caryn Norton.

Dorothy was a down-to-earth, straightforward, and private woman, who did her best to raise her children and take care of her husband. Dorothy enjoyed reading the Bible and solving crossword puzzles. She was a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, she will be missed.

She is survived by her son, Boyd Norton, of Granite Falls, Wash.; her daughter, Caryn Norton, of Burley; two brothers, Chuck Espinosa, of Maryville, Tenn., and Duane Espinosa, of Bonita Springs, Fla.; and one sister, Phyllis “Cindy” Young, of Burley.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Marion N Norton; her parents, Claude and Phyllis Espinosa; one sister, Betty Davis; and one brother, Dick Espinosa.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 until 8p.m. Thursday, July 16th, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St. in Burley.
