BOULDER CITY - Doris Helen Liles, 88, of Heyburn, Idaho, formerly of Boulder City, died Friday, August 28, 2015, at Minidoka Memorial Hospital, in Rupert, Idaho.

Doris was born July 10, 1927, in Clarendon, Texas, the oldest of nine children born to Robert James and Alice Lee Martin Cook. She attended schools in Texas through the 12th grade. She was raised by her parents as a good Christian woman who loved Jesus.

She married Thurman D. Liles on March 24, 1945, in Tyler, Texas. To their 69-year union, were born four children. Together, they raised their family in Boulder City, Nev., where they lived for 42 years.

Doris was a kind and compassionate woman, who worked as a private nurse until the age of 81. During the last year-and-a-half of her life, she lived with her daughter, Diane, in Heyburn, Idaho.

She had her loving family by her side until she walked into heaven. She taught her family to live their lives by these five words: Faith, Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, and Laughter.

Doris and Thurman are survived by their children, Bobby Liles, of Henderson, Nev., Diane Little, of Heyburn, Idaho, and Randy Liles, of Boulder City, Nev.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Doris also leaves behind her siblings, James Cook, Joe Bob Cook, Glenn Cook, Donald Cook, and Jerry Cook.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman; daughter, Linda Jean Richards; her parents; two sisters; and one brother.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley, Idaho.
