BURLEY - Brooke Lee Brown, 34, of Burley, passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise, due to complications during pregnancy.
Brooke was born in Port Angeles, Wash., Oct. 12, 1980, the daughter of Allen and Sheri (Shafer) Barker. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Kirkland, Wash., where Brooke was raised. She married Peter Brown in a beautiful ceremony in December of 2007 at Tracy Castle in Buckley, Wash. They were best friends. They loved and respected each other in a special relationship based on Godly principles. After living in Orting, Wash., for three years, the family relocated to Burley.
You could often find her at First Baptist Church of Burley, where she was an active member. She served her Lord by directing and participating in many capacities.
Giving of her time, energy and love kept her busy, not only at the church, but at St. Nicholas Catholic School and with the other activities and organizations that her boys were involved in.
Brooke was a smart, fun, funny, and beautiful young woman that people wanted to be around. She put much effort into making her home welcoming and every event special. Brooke was the hub of her family and loved by all of her intersecting circles of friends.
Two of the things Brooke loved most were her family and God. She was an amazing wife and mother. Our world is not the same without her.
Brooke is survived by her husband, Peter; her three sons, Daniel, Aron, and Ryan; parents, Allen L. Barker (Julie) and Sheri L. Johnnie (Phil); father-in-law, Roger Brown; mother-in-law, Karin Brown; grandparents, Vergil D. Shafer (Dorthea), Cleona Porter, and Jean McCormick (David); and brothers, A.J. and Brett Barker.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lloyd Barker.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Burley First Baptist Church, 2262 Hiland Ave, in Burley, with Pastor Dave Carver officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
