HEYBURN - Betty Lorraine Blincoe, 91, of Heyburn, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at the Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert.
She was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Declo, Idaho, the daughter of Ora Cornelius and Myrtle (Dowdle) Lott. She attended school in Declo and Heyburn, and graduated from Heyburn High School. She married Richard Dale Blincoe on Aug. 27, 1942, in Ogden, Utah, where they lived until Dec. 16, 1943, when they returned home and where she had since resided.
Betty was a member of the Burley United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. During her younger years, she was active in the Cow Bells.
She and her husband, Richard, established one the most progressive farming operations in the Magic Valley. Betty was a great support in the business and enjoyed working side-by-side with her family. She simply loved being a homemaker and used her many talents in creating a wonderful atmosphere in their home. She was a great cook and baker, and loved to play golf. Most important to Betty was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.
Betty is survived by her children, Larry (Carla) Blincoe, and Ridale (Dale) Avery all of Heyburn, Dean (Bonnie) Blincoe of Pahrump, Nev., Joan Davila of Meridian, and Jill (Dean) Nielsen of Paul; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Paul Giraud.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard, who died on Nov. 17, 2011; five brothers, Jack Lott, Rex Lott, Shirley Lott, Bill Lott, and Keith Lott; and her sister, LuAnn Giraud.
At Betty’s request, a private family viewing and service will be held with burial in Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, it was Betty’s desire that donations, in her memory, be directed to the Mini-Cassia Christmas Council or to the Paul Pine Chapel.
Arrangement have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
