DECLO - Helen Michelle "Shelly" Anderson, age 53, of Declo, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, at her home.

Shelly was born July 16, 1962, in Rupert, Idaho, the eldest child of Janice (Fries) and Dick Anderson of Albion. She graduated from Declo High School in 1980. She was active in 4-H and high school rodeo, and was the first and only rodeo queen for Yost, Utah.

Michelle was married twice, first to Oly Anderson, and then to Dennis Holland. She never had any children, but had nieces and nephews who she loved as if they were her own. She was a great lover of animals, especially dogs and horses.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Dick and Janice Anderson of Albion; her sister, Lisa Anderson of Albion; nieces, Lynzee Hendrix of Burley, Mikka Bryan of Winnemucca, Nevada; nephew, Kayd Bryan of Rupert; and great-niece, Ashlyn Hendrix of Burley.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Otis and Bernice Fries; and paternal grandparents, Dick and Helen Anderson.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2015, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where friends may call from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Officiating will be Gene Fries. Burial at a later date will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Albion.
