Her parents and their three small daughters lived on and operated a family farm near Peculiar, Mo. Her mother Mary passed away in October of 1932. She married Phillip James West in 1947, and they moved to Gooding, where their first child, Kazara (Kathleen), was born in 1951. The young family of three moved to Blackfoot, Idaho, where their second child, Phillip Bradley, was born in 1956. The family moved to Caldwell, Idaho in 1961, then to Pocatello, Idaho in 1962, where they stayed until 1967, and then moved to Boise. Eileen worked outside the home off and on throughout these years, including the Bannock County Clerk’s Office, and the State Historical Preservation Office in Boise. Eileen’s husband, Phil, retired in the early 80s. As a retired couple they moved around southern Idaho to find their comfortable place, with occasional snowbird stays in points south, such as Kingman, Ariz. Their final move was to Twin Falls, Idaho.
