PAUL – Donna Lee Moore, 86, of Paul, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was born in Jewel County, Kansas, Dec. 1, 1929, to Lewis Alton and Alice Lorraine Atkins Hamilton, and was the youngest of four children. She graduated from Heyburn High School in 1947. Donna married the love of her life, Leo Moore, Dec. 24, 1947, and they had three children, Linda, born in 1950; Tris, in 1953; and Shelly, in 1958.

In the early years of their marriage, Leo worked in construction and Donna worked for M.H. King. In 1952, they moved west of Heyburn onto the Schodde farm, where they farmed until they retired in 1992, and moved to Paul. Mom was Dad’s number-one hand, raking, baling, hoeing beets and beans, and, driving truck. She also spent several years working the counter at Al’s Burger Port and made many friends there. Mom loved traveling with Dad and made many road trips with family and friends. Mom’s biggest passion was playing Bridge, where the hours that she spent playing, and the friends that she made, were always very special to her.

Donna was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Burley, where her church family was very special to her.

Donna is survived by her husband, Leo; her children, Linda Roberts (Ron) of Meridian, Tris Moore of Heyburn, and Shelly Tyler (Tim) of Nampa; her grandchildren, Corinne Roberts, Todd Roberts, Callen Moore, Shaun Bradley, and Levi Tyler; and her great-grandchildren, Casey Roberts, Mariah Raynor, Courtney Roberts, and Rylan Bradley.
