Robert (Bob) Dale Mendenhall

Sep. 18, 1957 - Sep. 9, 2020

Robert (Bob) Dale Mendenhall On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, Robert (Bob) Dale Mendenhall passed away in his home at the age of 62.

Bob was born on September 18, 1957, in Burley, Idaho. From birth he was a trouble maker with a heart of gold.

Bob had many interests but a few of his true passions included talking about the weather, eating food, talking about food, planning what food he would eat next and watching “the races.” He loved watching old westerns and had a soft spot for animals – especially his cats, Breezy and Lucky. He loved to fish and was a master asparagus hunter, but what he really loved was drinking beer. He had an uncanny gift for pushing people’s buttons and somehow everyone still loved him the same. Bob loved his friends and family and was loyal to a fault. There is nothing he wouldn’t do or give to someone in need if it was within his power to do so.

He was stubborn and couldn’t be told what to do – ever! He had a mischievous grin and was a handsome devil from the day he entered this earth until the day he left it. He was a huge pain in the butt, but he was our pain in the butt and he will be missed dearly.

Bob was preceded in death by his nephew, Jesse; and his youngest son, Daniel. He is survived by his parents, Larry and DeAnn Mendenhall; his siblings, Debbie Jansen (Chris), Christie Mitchell (Curt), Kevin Mendenhall and Ron Mendenhall; his children, Mindi Welty (Eric) and Michael Mendenhall (Emily); as well as seven grandchildren, with one more on the way.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Saul and Monica Gonzales for the years of friendship and taking such great care of him in the end. He was blessed to have you as were we.

Cheers to you, Bob!
