Lawrence "Larry" Glenn Heaton

Aug. 2, 1946 - Jan. 12, 2021

Lawrence "Larry" Glenn Heaton BURLEY - Lawrence “Larry” Glenn Heaton, 74, of Burley, Idaho, passed away at his home Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Born August 2, 1946, to Archie Glenn Heaton and Wilma Irene (Scott) Heaton in Blackfoot, Idaho, he was the fourth of five children.

He attended school in Bingham County. Following school, he moved to Burley where he met Alta Fox. They were married and had two children, then later divorced in 1990. Larry also had an older son from a previous relationship. Larry took great pride in his work and was well known for his outstanding workmanship. He worked as a carpet installer for Volco and Lee’s Furniture until he was injured and medically retired in 1991.

Larry was well known for his sense of humor and you could bet when you saw him you’d be treated with, “Heeyy, have I told you the one where…” he always had a joke ready for you and enjoyed making his friends and family laugh. He was a fighter; he was strong and won many hard battles during his life. His family joked that he was going to outlive them all. He was the strongest man they knew; he was their dad. This isn’t a goodbye, it's until we meet again. You can rest easy now. Have I told you lately that I Love You?

Larry is survived by his three children, Lance Guinn of Twin Falls, Holly Willis (Marc Shadden) of Burley, and Chris Heaton of Rupert; five grandchildren, Brett (Hope) Denker of Heyburn, Chance Willis of Twin Falls, and Jovianne, Cheyenne and Ashlynne Heaton of Rupert. He is also survived by three sisters, Barbara Jean Stocks of Granbury, Texas, Patricia Kaye (William) Kerstings of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Karen Sherwood of Menan, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Randy (Lorna) Van Orden of San Diego.

The family has chosen to honor Larry’s final wishes and will not be having a funeral service.
