Bradley Jason
Berlinguet
Jan. 21, 1971 - Sep. 7, 2021
Date of Service: Sep. 14, 2021
Bradley Jason Berlinguet, 50, of Oakley, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in his home.
Brad was born January 21, 1971, in San Jose, California, to Darlene and David Berlinguet.
His mom and stepdad, Jim Van Dam, relocated to Boise, Idaho, in 1980. Brad reconnected with his father, Dave Dad, and stepmom, Lisa Berlinguet, in 1982. Brad graduated from Borah High School in 1989.
Brad and his mom owned and ran The Best Little Hair House in Boise for many years together.
That is where he met the love of his life, LibertyAnn Severe. Brad and Liberty were married in May of 1997 in Boise. Their first daughter, Savanna, was born in 1998. They relocated to West Boise in 2000, where their second daughter, Hallie, was born. In 2002 they built a home in Kuna, and their son, Jase, was born that same year. Their daughter, Aleena, was born in 2004. And, to complete their family was their daughter, Livee, who was born in 2008.
Bradley decided to follow his dream and became a realtor in 2004. The economy had other plans for his family, and in 2011 they relocated to Oakley, Idaho, hometown to his wife. Oakley became home to Brad very quickly. All that mattered to him was being with his family. Location wasn’t important.
Brad became the best Papa Lolly to his first grandson, Preston Jett Lima, in November 2020.
Brad was a family man. He loved his wife with all of his being, and caring for his beautiful family was always a priority.
Brad was a celebrator of life in all of his roles: son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, coach, supervisor, co-worker, and teammate. He put his heart and soul into whatever he was currently involved in. Some of his other loves besides his family were coaching kids teams (soccer, softball, baseball, football) creating nicknames for everyone, playing softball, golf, ping pong, writing bubble letters on his cards to loved ones, juggling, riding a unicycle, making sure he could still do a backflip every birthday, watching sports – Go Raiders! – road-trip treats and playlists, singing very loudly to that road-trip playlist, writing poems and lyrics to songs, and photo-bombing pictures.
Brad was quick to forgive and quick to love. He was a friend to all. A large hole is left in many without him here.
Brad is survived by his wife, LibertyAnn Berlinguet; his children, Savanna (Hayden) Lima, Hallie Berlinguet, Jase Berlinguet, Aleena Berlinguet, and Livee Berlinguet; his grandson, Jett Lima; his mother, Darlene (Dick) Davis; his stepmother, Lisa Berlinguet; his siblings, David (Anna) Berlinguet, and Tasha (Mike) Hendriksen; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, David Arthur Berlinguet; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Judy Severe and Kent Severe; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Oakley Stake Center, located at 301 N. Center St., with Bishop Ryan Hawker officiating. Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, September 13, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the funeral service at the church.
