Susan Delilah Edwards

Dec. 1, 2008 - Mar. 4, 2023

Date of Service: Mar. 14, 2023

Susan Delilah Edwards DECLO – Our little Angel, Susan Delilah Edwards, age 14, of Declo, returned home to our loving Heavenly Father on March 4, 2023, at the Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert, surrounded by her family.

Susan was born to her loving earthly parents, Ryan and Katherine Edwards, on December 1, 2008, in Burley. She was raised in Declo, with her brother, Kevin, and sister, Jaylynn. The three of them adored one another and had unconditional love for each other.

Susan came into this world fighting for her life with many congenital health complications. She was a determined little girl that fought hard to stay on this earth for 14 years to give us the privilege of raising such a sweet and pure spirit; how blessed we have been!

She shared her gift of love to any and all that she came in contact with, she had a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face that would melt anyone’s heart. Susan loved bright lights and music, but most of all she loved her family. Susan has allowed us 14 years of tender mercies and miracles. She taught us all what unconditional love is.

For any and all who came in contact with Susan– know that she loved you. She had her own way of communicating with you and made you feel special. Susan will be missed more than words can express, but our hearts are happy for Susan that she is free of her lifelong complications.

Susan is survived by her parents, Ryan and Katherine Edwards; her siblings, Kevin and Jaylynn; her grandparents, Blaine and Phyllis Hamilton; her grandmother, Marcile Edwards; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Gordon Edwards; and her uncle, Jay Hamilton.

We would like to extend a thank you to any and all of the medical staff, therapists, our family, friends, church leaders, and community for all of the love, support, and care that was provided to Susan and our family throughout her life.

Susan has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled, but we are so excited for the reunion that Susan had as she entered into the arms of our loving Heavenly Father surrounded by family that had gone before. Susan, we love you and thank you for fighting so hard for so long for us to have the memories you left us. Susan, you will be missed, and forever our little Angel! Until we meet again, know we love you!

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Declo Stake Center, located at 213 W. Main, in Declo. Interment will follow at Declo Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, preceding the funeral at the Church.
