Sean Michael Marcotte

Dec. 7, 1967 - Apr. 10, 2023

Date of Service: Apr. 21, 2023

DECLO – Sean Michael Marcotte “Red Dawg”, a 55-year-old resident of Declo, died unexpectedly Monday, April 10, 2023, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Sean was born December 7, 1967, to Mary Catherine Marcotte Day, in Boise, Idaho. Sean attended Burley High School occasionally until he was struck with boredom then quit school and instantly obtained his GED. He started driving semis at the age of 16, then obtained his CDL at 18, and has never stopped.

Anyone who knew Sean knew that they were in for a good time. There was never a dull moment and always inappropriate jokes. He found a hobby for rock collecting and rock tumbling. He loved the great outdoors in God’s country with Lori and Bruno always by his side or with him and Lori riding the Harley. Sean’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his soulmate, Lori Ramsey; his mom, Mary Day; his sisters, JaNice (Jarrod) Thompson, and Kristi Day (Mike Mullard); his brothers, Danny Day (Jennifer West), and Darren Day; his children, Teah (Britt) Kersey, Tera Bell Curry, Tiffany (Brandon) Josi, and Tylar Bell; along with eight grandkids; and many nieces and nephews. Last but not least his faithful companion, Bruno Dawg.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley. A graveside service for the family will be held at a later date.

Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
