AMERICAN FORK, UT – Kathy Anderson Dayton, 63, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 14, 2023, after a valiant three-year battle against cancer.
Kathy was born February 12, 1960, to her parents, Wayne Fredrick and Carma Erickson Anderson, in Rupert, Idaho, where she was raised with her four older siblings on the family farm. Kathy had a love for the Gospel and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Brent and Kathy were blessed with four children and raised them in American Fork, Utah. As her children grew older, Kathy worked at Sara Lee Bakery as a regional manager with more than 20 years of service.
Kathy most cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Kathy’s life exemplified unconditional love and dedication to her family. She found joy in thoughtfully planning family vacations, filling holidays with special memories, and always uniting her loved ones for frequent family dinners. Her home was filled with love and unity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Carma Anderson; her sister, Lynda Dockstader; and her brothers, Lynn Anderson and Clair Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Brent Dayton; her children, Barry (Tisha) Dayton, Melissa (Rick) Hansen, Michael (McKenna) Dayton, and Matthew (Taryn) Dayton; her grandchildren, Kaden, Abby, Clara, Bree, Kate, Trey, Jack, Maya, and Jay; and her sisters, Sharen (Robert) Stoker and Patricia Manning.
