BURLEY – Rodrigo De La Garza Jr., 71, of Burley, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at his home in Burley.

Rodrigo was born May 5, 1952, in McAllen, Texas, the fourth of twelve children born to Rodrigo De La Garza Sr. and Maria De La Luz Garcia.

He is survived by his daughters, Angela De La Garza (Ray) Martinez, and Veronica Nevarez De La Garza (Isaac) Dayley; his grandchildren, Josh Sosa, Leslie Villa-Garcia, Cristian Martinez, Tristan Martinez, Isaac Dayley Jr., D’Marcus Dayley, D’Andre Dayley, D’Vonte Dayley, and D’Lylah Dayley; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Villa-Garcia, Genesis Villa-Garcia, Roman Villa-Garcia, Elijah Villa-Garcia, Izabel Villa-Garcia; and his siblings, Angie Salazar, Antonio De La Garza, Enedina Cortez, Sylvia De La Garza, Santos Rivera, Sandra Salazar, George Rivera, Rick Rivera.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Leo De La Garza, Jesse De La Garza, and Mario Rivera.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where family and friends will be received at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. At the conclusion of the service military rites will be performed by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Group. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
