Date of Service: Dec. 30, 2025
DECLO – Robert Ardell Jensen, an 80-year-old resident of Declo, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born on February 22, 1945, in Rupert, Idaho, to Orland Ardell Jensen and Lorna Jensen. He grew up on the family farm alongside his twelve brothers and sisters, where he learned the values of hard work, responsibility, and family. He graduated from Declo High School and carried his strong work ethic with him throughout his life.
On January 29, 1965, Robert married the love of his life, Angie Mason. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Seattle, Washington, where Bob began working at Boeing Aircraft, a job he often spoke of being his all-time favorite. From Seattle, the family moved to San Diego, California, where they spent approximately five years and were raising two boys, Tim and Louis Jensen. It was there that Bob learned the flooring trade, a skill that would serve him well for the rest of his life. After their time in San Diego, the family moved to Reno, Nevada, where they made it their home for 17 years. During that time, Bob continued working in flooring and became well known as a trusted handyman, always willing to help neighbors and friends. His kindness and generosity earned him many lasting friendships. Eventually, Robert and his family returned to Declo, Idaho, to be closer to family, and back to his roots. His family continued to grow with the addition of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly his pride and joy.
Bob had a deep love for collecting die-cast toy tractors and cars, along with many other treasured items. He enjoyed tinkering around the yard, serving as the family mechanic, and was happiest whenever he could be on a tractor. Robert will be remembered for his ability to work and solve problems with nearly anything, his endless numbers of stories with great attention to detail, especially if there was a car or tractor involved. His generous heart, his love for family, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him dearly.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Angie Novella Jensen; his parents, Orland and Lorna Jensen; his brother, Richard Alvin Jensen; his sister, Kathleen Jensen Mesenbrink; his father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Hazel Mason; and brothers-in-law, Gale Gillett, and Frank Mesenbrink.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Tim Jensen, and Louis (Shawn) Jensen; his grandchildren, Robbie (Jessie) Jensen, Whitney Jensen, Skylar Jensen, Lexi Jensen, and Keira (Cayden) Wesner; his great-grandchildren, Paige Jensen, Deegan Jensen, Lucas Jensen, and Kaylin Wesner; his brothers and sisters, Jolene Gillett, Helen (Wayne) Graham, Larry (Karla) Jensen, Frank (Jo Ann) Jensen, Delbert (Pam) Jensen, Duane (Cassie) Jensen, Dolores (Jay) Madsen, Steve (Karla) Jensen, Paul (Sylvia) Jensen, and Mary Ann (Marcy) Jones.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th Street, in Burley, where family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Officiating will be his brother, Frank Jensen.
