Carolyn Jane Adams BURLEY – Carolyn Jane Adams, an 81-year-old resident of Burley and formerly of Paul, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at Parke View Rehabilitation & Care Center in Burley.

Carolyn was born August 2, 1944, in Burley, Idaho, the daughter of Frank Edward and Lorene Ella Schenk Ballard. She attended school in Minidoka County and completed her education at Minico High School. She married Don Adams and they had one son, Sterling Frank Adams. She worked many years for J R Simplot Potato Processing Plant, in Heyburn, until her retirement.

She was an outstanding cook and was especially talented at baking. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and listening to music. Most important to her was family.

She is survived by her son, Sterling Adams; her stepchildren, Todd Adams and Misty Turner; one granddaughter, Natasha Heiner; a great-granddaughter, Elaina Adams; a brother-in-law, Lynn Wickel; her sisters-in-law, Jeneal Adams and Mardene Adams; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don, who passed away on April 28, of this year; and her only sister, Diane Stapelman.

The family expresses their sincere appreciation to Parke View Rehabilitation & Care Center, in Burley, for the exceptional care given to Carolyn. We especially wish to thank Amanda Rydalch for the extra effort and gentle care Carolyn received.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th Street, in Burley, where family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Orlo Maughan. Burial will follow at the Albion Mormon Cemetery.
