BURLEY – On the morning of September 18, 2026, Ida Faye Cox was reunited with her forever sweetheart, Glen, and all of those who had gone before her.

Ida was born to George and Elizabeth Pease on September 3, 1933, in American Falls, Idaho. She was the youngest of ten children and grew up in Rockland, Idaho. In the summer they would move out to the farm where she loved riding horses. She loved her school days where she played sports and was a cheerleader. She met the love of her life when she was a junior in high school. They later married February 4, 1950.

Ida was the epitome of a homemaker. She kept a beautiful home, raised her children, and was an outstanding cook. Always making sure her family had three meals a day!

Ida and Glen had three children: First came Linda in 1950, and Robert followed shortly after in 1952. They thought they were done and got a surprise 11 years later when Larry was born in 1963! Her family was her life and she did everything for them.

They moved to Burley in August of 1959, where they eventually built their dream home and lived there since 1978. Glen worked for Farm Bureau for 37 years and they were privileged to travel to many places around the world. After Glen’s retirement in 1997, they were able to spend many days camping and fishing together and traveling to see family.

Ida’s first love was her family, but her flowers and yard came in a close second! She absolutely loved her flowers and they were always so beautiful!

She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Glen were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple and their children sealed to them in 1982. She served in numerous callings in her ward in Relief Society, Primary, and visiting teaching throughout the years.

Ida loved to crochet and do any kind of needlework. She has blessed many babies with beautiful afghans and even had one started for her newest great-grandbaby when she passed. These treasures she made for others will be forever cherished.

She lived a full life in her 93 years here on earth. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend to many people who will miss her very much.

Ida Faye Cox is survived by her daughter, Linda Olsen (Boyd), Gail Cox (wife of the late Robert Cox), Larry Cox (Stacey); ten grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her parents; her siblings; her son, Robert Cox; grandchildren, Shawn Parish, Curtis Cox, Casen Larry Cox, and Jaimi McCreight.

The family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice for their care and kindness in caring for Ida in her last days. Also, thank you to the Burley 5th ward for help with the funeral and the luncheon. Thank you to Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home in Burley for the exceptional service provided.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Burley West Stake Center, located at 2420 Parke Ave., with Bishop Cade Jones officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., later that afternoon, at the Valley View Cemetery in Rockland, Idaho.
