Joseph Wayne “Joe” Trau
BURLEY – Joseph Wayne “Joe” Trau, age 37, of Burley, went to be with his Dad, Monday, April 18, 2016, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.
Joe was born May 3, 1978, in Burley, Idaho, to Joseph P. and Donna Sue Bentley Trau. He was raised in Rupert and attended high school at Minico. He was one semester away of obtaining his associates degree in liberal arts from CSI.
He was a member of Mountain View Christian Center in Burley, and had a firm belief in his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Joe was a “Jack of All Trades” and was able to fix almost anything. At the time of his illness he operated his own residential sprinkler business. He absolutely loved fishing and also enjoyed camping, and target shooting with his friends. But what Joe loved the most, was spending time with his family, especially his three children. He had a close relationship with his “BFF,” Amy Sage, the two of them did everything together.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Trau; his three children, Nya Rachelle Trau, Joseph “Wyatt” Trau, and Macie Marie Trau Self; two brothers, Gary (Helen) Trau, of Roseville, CA and Thomas Trau, of Burley; and one sister, Noell Marie Chapman, of Branson, MO.
He was preceded in death by his biggest hero, his father, Joseph P. Trau; both his paternal and maternal grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Mountain View Christian Center, 317 W. 27th St., in Burley, with Pastor Jim Powell officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
