PAUL - Jerry J.R. Renz, 75, of Paul, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Jerry was born December 17, 1940, in Paul, Idaho, the son of Fred and Ida Steinbach Renz. He graduated from Minico High School in 1959, and later married Renae Gillette on March 4th 1967, in Elko, Nev. Jerry retired from Kloepfer Concrete and Paving after 45 years of service. He lived in Paul his entire life, and for most of his life, he was a member of the First Baptist Church (now Hope Community Church) in Paul and served as a Trustee. He was also a member of the Rupert Elks for many years. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Renae Renz; three sons, Leon Renz, Bob Renz, and Dan Renz; and daughter, Jeri Renz; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ida Renz; brothers, Jacob Renz and Robert Renz; and granddaughter, Kaylyn Renz.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Hope Community Church, 25 North 4th West, with the Rev. Warren Rachele officiating. Burial will be in the Paul Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
A memorial fund has been set up at Hope Community Church in Paul, Idaho.
