Brent Wodskow
BURLEY – Brent Wodskow, age 39, of Burley, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, due to complications with diabetes and kidney failure, while helping family members with farm work.
Brent was born Dec. 21, 1976, in Burley, the son of Lonnie and Diane Fessenden Wodskow. He was raised in Paul and received his education at Minico High School, then later moved to Burley, where he was currently residing.
Brent loved life and lived it to the fullest. He knew hard work, and spent much of his time off from his regular job, at Amalgamated Sugar, working on his aunt and uncle’s farm in Jackson, which he was doing at the time of his passing. He has worked for his aunt and uncle on the Fessenden farm for the past 25 years. He had also been employed by Streamline Precision for the Gillette Brothers and Packing Specialties in previous work stints. However, his most unique form of work was traveling the country with mechanical bulls that he operated and supervised for others to ride. He thoroughly enjoyed watching people attempt to ride the mechanical bull.
Brent was a loving father to his children and dedicated to their support. He loved anything outdoors and was especially fond of four-wheeling with his family. His special personality and his kind and helpful demeanor will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Wyatt Wodskow, Madison Clark, Braxton Wodskow, and Cheyenne Wodskow all of Burley; his parents, Lonnie & Diane Wodskow of Paul; brothers and sisters, Chris Roman of Boise, Lonnie (Mindy) Wodskow of Idaho Falls, Scott (Shelly) Snow of Paul, Melissa (Travis) Fenstermaker of Burley, Michelle (Manuel) Quilantan, and Mike Wodskow of Jaco, Costa Rica; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Shanon Wodskow; and his grandparents, Emma and Walter Wodskow, and Virgil and June Fessenden.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 28, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday preceding the service. Burial will follow in the Paul Cemetery.
The family would like to express special appreciation to Cassia Regional Hospital, the Magic Valley Kidney Center, and the Quick Response and EMT personnel who worked diligently and compassionately in Brent’s behalf.
