Donna Jane Andrew
PAUL – Donna Jane Andrew, age 79, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Highland Estates in Burley.
Donna was born June 22, 1937, in Kimberly, Idaho, to Ralph Orgill and Della Maye Glenn Hall. She attended Pioneer elementary school in Paul and attended Burley High School. She married Ivan Milton Andrew on June 19, 1954, in Burley, Idaho.
In time, she and Ivan moved to Paul, where they made their home. Donna was a lifelong, active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities, including Relief Society president, Den Mother for the Scouts, and member of the Primary presidency. She loved children and enjoyed teaching Primary; she also enjoyed doing her visiting teaching.
She was a loving, nurturing mother to her four children. She was dedicated to their care and upbringing. She was fortunate to have her primary role in life as that of a homemaker and mother.
She made diet and exercise a high priority; as a result of her consistent and disciplined routine, she overcame diabetes. She enjoyed her walks (two miles per day), and she achieved a personal goal of riding enough miles on her exercise bike as the equivalent of riding coast-to-coast across the United States. She also enjoyed golfing and bowling and she loved to sing and hum.
Donna is survived by three of her four children, Dennis M. Andrew, Dan R. (Julie) Andrew, and Karla J. (Dan) Corless; grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Andrew, Ben Andrew, Kody Andrew, Dylan Corless, and Kayla Corless; and great-grandchildren, Gavin Leith and Harper Andrew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan; brothers, David Hall, and Kenneth Stedtfeld; and son, Gary Andrew.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, with Bishop Dean Stevenson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Paul Cemetery.
