HEYBURN – Eugene (Bub) Price was born in Heyburn, Idaho, to Earl F. and Iona L (Nealis) Price on Feb. 29, 1924 (a leap year baby). Bub grew up on the family farm in Heyburn, the second of four children. In high school he displayed his athletic talents in basketball lettering all four years. After graduating from Heyburn High School, he joined the United States Army serving in World War II and was stationed in Europe.

On April 30, 1947, he married the love of his life, Marie R. Giraud. Bub and Marie had five children. Bub farmed and ran a dairy for most of his life always having spare time to play a game of basketball, baseball, volleyball, boating, or water skiing with the family. Bub and Marie enjoyed square dancing and the many friends they met both locally and going to dances at Yellowstone and many other places. After retiring, he found a new passion in playing a round of golf – often times multiple rounds in a day. Bub and Marie have enjoyed and been active in many pinnacle and bridge groups. Bub and Marie enjoyed the many friends they played with. Bub always had a smile and he loved to share his sense of humor.

Bub is loved and survived by his wife, Marie Price of Heyburn; one daughter, Rene’ (Roger) Quintana; three sons, Gary (Leanne) Price of Burley, Gene (Robin) Price of Heyburn, and Dan (Beth) Price of Heyburn; three sisters, Loretta Klingenberg of Rupert, Carma Nielson of Parma, and Darlene (Bud) Higgins of Hansen.
