Betty Jean Kimber
RUPERT – Betty Jean Kimber, age 56, of Rupert, Idaho, formerly of Burley, Idaho, and Grouse Creek, Utah, passed away on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in her sleep.
Betty was born on Feb. 19, 1958, to Raymond and Wilda (Frost) Kimber. She grew up on a ranch in Grouse Creek, enjoying a childhood known to few. She attended the Grouse Creek School until completing the 10th grade, which was the highest grade offered at that school. For her junior and senior years, she attended the Raft River High School in Malta. After graduation, she started work for the Cassia Memorial Hospital, starting in the laundry and working her way up to the ER desk and then to the medical records department.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings, Judy Rae (Dennis) Weeks of Paul, Idaho, Ray (Sharon) Kimber of Oakley, Idaho, David (Betty) Kimber of Grouse Creek, Utah, Sharon Kimber of Rupert, Idaho, and Elden (JoAnn) Kimber of Grouse Creek, Utah, and our bonus sibling, Dawna Kimber of Evanston, Wyoming.
The funeral will be held at 12 noon Friday, Feb. 21, at the Grouse Creek LDS Church, with President Runyan officiating. Interment will be at the Grouse Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley, and from 11 until 11:45 a.m. Friday at the Grouse Creek LDS Church.
