BURLEY – Russell LeRoy Dockter, age 77, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017, at his home in Burley, Idaho.
Russell was born in Rupert, Idaho, to Herbert Dockter and Louise Vollmer Dockter. He graduated from Minidoka County High School (Minico), Class of 1958. After serving four years in the United States Air Force, Russell went to work for Lockheed and earned an associate degree from Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California.
Russell retired from Lockheed after a 32-year career and returned home to Idaho. He was an avid pilot and enjoyed fishing, camping, and performing with the Snake River Flats.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamella Caldeira (Robert), Kathleen Louie, and Michelle Pope; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his sisters, Irene Francis (Dave) and Dorothy Boss (Dave); and four nieces.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Karleen.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where military rites will be provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization.
