Monica was born September 21, 1976, the last of seven children born to Marvin Lund Christenson and Linda Sue Flynn Christenson of Heyburn, Idaho. She was a talented homemaker. She loved doing crafts with the kids and decorating her home. She was very talented in photography and loved to take pictures.

Before Monica became sick, she was the life of the party. Everybody loved to be around her. She was so fun and loud and funny. Her kids were her life. She loved them so much. She actually wouldn't put them in preschool because she did her own little preschool and taught them before kindergarten and they were always top of the class. She was diligent in reading the scriptures with her children, family prayer, and family home evening.
