MALTA – Ramona Sears, an 88-year-old resident of Malta, returned home to Heavenly Father on August 22, 2018.
Ramona was born November 2, 1929, in American Fork, Utah, to Sterling Howard and Ferl (Roberts) Adams. She had 13 siblings and attended school in Albion. In March of 1947, she married Wallace Hardy Sears, Sr. in Burley, Idaho. Together, they had three children, Clifford, Mary V. & Wally, Jr.
She and Wally, Sr. had a ranch in Connor Creek where they raised their family. Throughout the years she had several jobs as a waitress to help supplement income for the family. She worked for Nelson’s Pilot Club and for her brother, Dick, at the Albion’s Social Club for several years. She made many friends and enjoyed visiting with all her regular customers. When she wasn’t working on the ranch or at a café, you could find her in her yard taking care of flowers.
She is survived by her son, Wally, Jr. (Kenna) Sears; grandchildren, Jeff (Kodi) Gregersen, Jade (Maliesa) Sears, and Jaxson (Kayci) Sears all of Malta, and Stormee Russell of Burley; great- grandchildren, Kloe, Gage, Laynee, and Finley Gregersen, Dally, Jayden, Sadee, and Hadley Sears, Hallie, Kaizlee, and Beckett Russell of Burley; three brothers and one sister, Jay Adams, Don (Carolyn) Adams, Joe (Glenda) Adams and Emily Jane (Lynn) Wickel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally, Sr.; son, Clifford Sears; and daughter, Mary V. Gregersen; her parents; brothers, Ray, Eldon, Robert, Dick and Sterling; sisters, Rita Rhea and Marie; and nephews, Brett and Bobby Adams.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Countryside Care and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care and friendship they gave Ramona in her final years. A very special thanks to her longtime friend, Teresa Keetch, for her loving support!
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 25, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Albion.
