What a handsome and enchanting fellow! He took his first "selfie" just two days before his return to his Heavenly Father and that is the picture we share with you. His name is a pure description of who he was and is. He had the ability to pierce the heart and soul of all who met him. He had an infectious smile and his loving energy touched everyone around him. He was so easy to love and he loved everyone. His was the kind of love that knew no limits, unconditional and pure. It’s no wonder that the Lord had other "work for him to do", taking back into his bosom, to be one of his beloved angels. Those of us left to mourn his loss are blessed for having had him in our lives, and our memories of his sweetness will sustain us until we are together again.
Pierce is survived by his father and mother, Jorden Gonzales and Kandice Montano; one sister, Daisy Barrera; one brother, Kayden Dayberry; god parents (uncle and aunt), Derek and Alisha Gonzales; uncles, Steven Gonzales, Wesley Winn and family; Kevin A. Winn and family; aunts, Amoretta Winn and family; Rachael Garcia and family; grandparents, Toni and Robert Tiger; Fidel Gonzales, Della Ortiz and Carol Winn Gonzales. He is also survived by his great grandfather, Leo Gonzales; and many loving cousins; family members; and friends too numerous to count. Family members live throughout southern Idaho and surrounding states.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July16, 2014, at the Rupert LDS Stake Center, 324 E. 18th St., in Rupert, with Bishop Rick Larsen officiating. Burial will be in the Rupert Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
The family would like funeral attendees to dress in vibrant colors in celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in c/o Rasmussen Funeral Home, P.O. Box 878, Burley, ID 83318.
